Public Speaker

bwjcertsml.jpg Whatever your reason for engaging me on this subject, you deserve a speaker who's prepared a presentation or seminar to suit your personal wishes. I never deliver the same speech or training in the same way twice.

If you engage me:
  •  You will be engaging a member of Toastmasters International Speakers' Club, a member who won the Region Competition in this year's National Speech competition (21/10/09) and who is trained to evaluate speakers and help them improve their technique and presentation delivery.
  • You will be engaging a Key Note Speaker from this year's Chamber of Commerce Business Expo (15/10/09)
I asm experienced in effectively delivering the following:
  • A persuasive speech
  • A motivational speech
  • An inspiring speech.
  • A humorous speech.
  • An engaging speech making use of stories.
There are several reasons you might engage a public speaker.
  • You might want a credible speeker from outside your organisation
  • You might want coaching in the skills of public speaking, individually or for groups.
If you want to gain confidence presenting yourself, projecting your personality more effectively, there's no better way to increase your confidence than developing your skills as a public speaker.

Delivering a Speech.

Before delivering a speech, I need to know what kind of audience I'll be adressing. Are they business people, parents, students or children? What messages would you like them to take away? Why is that message important? Over many years, I have collected stories, quotations and personal experiences to cover most situations. Give me a ring and share your ideas with me. (07795-288490)

Delivering a Talk on a Specific Subject

I draw the line at talking on subjects in which I have no experience or expertise. As guideline, however, the following are topics on which I can speak with passion:
  • Leadership and Team Building (intentionally controversial, you have been warned!)
  • Understanding human personalities.
  • The value of Story Telling in engaging with an audience, whether it's an audience of one or a hundred; business prospects or children.
Training in Public Speaking

Presenting in public is most people's worse nightmare. Have you ever heard a bad wedding speech? Have you experienced death by power point? Since most of us are pretty poor at this, the best way to gain confidence is to work with someone who:
  • Encourages you and helps you see the funny side of your early attempts.
  • Can identify which of 12 very common mistakes are holding you  back as a presenter.
  • Has many years experience of public speaking
  • Has been taught how to correct weaknesses without causing discouragement.
Whether it's you, your team, your students, don't expect me to produce experts after only half a day; but I will put you a long way ahead of the crowd.
